Aon Risk Solutions has appointed Christof Bentele as chief broking officer at its London-based crisis management practice.

With over 25 years of experience in various roles within the risk and insurance industry, Mr Bentele moves from global product leader, recall and contamination solutions.

In his new role, he is responsible for the practice’s global broking strategy, key market relationships, broking excellence and execution, product development and innovation.

He will oversee all crisis management practice-related broking activities globally, as well as in the firm’s London global broking centre.

Mr Bentele will be supported by Steve Dalchow, who has been appointed deputy chief broking officer and head of special projects.

Having worked in the industry for more than 20 years, Mr Dalchow is an expert in specific terrorism, war and political violence coverage.

He specialises in developing solutions for clients affected by the perils of terrorism, political risk, kidnap and ransom, extortion and product recall and contamination.

Commenting on developments, Aon Risk Solutions’ global crisis management practice chief executive officer, Paul Bassett, says: “The appointments are a testament to the depth and breadth of expertise Aon delivers to our clients and insurers.”
