Aviva launches online services for advisers

Aviva has launched two additional online services for financial advisers.

A new fund switch facility has been added to the Aviva for Advisers e-commerce platform, enabling advisers to monitor and switch funds on more than 1.6 million investment bonds, individual, stakeholder and group personal pensions.

Key features include: no need for customers’ signatures; policy fund research tool indicates which funds are available to switch; online compliance record for each request; client confirmation letter issued for every fund switch.

In addition, E-Documents gives financial advisers access to copy policy documents and benefit statements across the insurer’s range of group and individual pension contracts.

More products and document types will be added throughout 2011, taking the total number of customer documents available online to over three million.

Aviva’s head of e-commerce, Billy Burnside, comments: “These changes mean advisers can spend less time on administration and more time advising clients.”

He adds: “The fund switch facility enables advisers to request a switch between 6 am and midnight seven days a week and provides a clear compliance audit trail.”
