GAB Robins has launched a training scheme for its loss adjusters and claims handling staff.

The scheme is aimed at ensuring staff provide the right level of advice and support to allow fire and water damage claims to be managed effectively and efficiently, for both clients and insureds.

The five-day programme has been developed in partnership with the British Damage Management Association (the damage management industry’s trade body) and Gelder Training, part of the Gelder construction group.

It covers a range of subject areas including the project management of building and contents water damage claims; the science of drying; triage surveying and appraisal; flood school case studies and building construction.

Commenting on the launch GAB Robins’ head of training and development, Mike Odell, says: “The training programme is an important part of our plan to develop a strong skills base that enables us to deliver the expertise our clients need across a wide range of relevant areas.”
