Insurer MMA has announced that it is expanding the product range remit of its micro underwriting team.

The decision, made as part of a first year review, will see the micro underwriting team add Motor Trade Road Risks and Internal Risks and smaller Commercial Property Owner risks to its remit.

The team recently celebrated its one year anniversary, during which time it provided Master Tradesman, Shops, Offices and Surgeries and Residential Property Owners with new business quotes and services enquiries.

Customer Services chief Rob Clements lauded the success enjoyed by the micro underwriting team in its initial year, adding that it was very well thought of by brokers.

Clements attributed the team’s strong 12 months to the close attention it paid to the feedback from brokers and that changes would be made to help make the MMA trading experience for brokers even better.

This level of engagement was also a fundamental aspect of the team’s establishment last year, when it was launched in response to extensive consultation with brokers.
