Trade Protector Plus, a fully autorated tradesman liability product, has been released by Evolution Underwriting Limited as part of its Stingray trading platform.

Groupama Insurances underwrites the product, which offers a creative new referral system, enabling Evolution to make faster decisions regarding risks that do not meet typical underwriting criteria.

Paul Upton, of Evolution, explained that brokers want to be able to discuss risks that cannot be dealt with by an automatically generated quote with an underwriter.

The new product enables brokers to transact with the same contacts they utilise for other forms of business, Upton said, adding that Evolution was firmly committed to e-trading.

Dawn Dillaway, Groupama’s head of Commercial Underwriting, stated that the firm was keen to engage in partnerships with businesses that had a good technological approach and offered new routes of distribution.

Dillaway added that Evolution’s preference for independent regional brokers was a perfect fit for Groupama.
