Aviva appoints UK strategic partnerships director

Aviva has announced the appointment of Anthony Middle as its new strategic partnerships director in the UK.

The role is a newly created one that emerged after structural reorganisation, and Middle fills it with his extensive experience.

He joins the firm in December, leaving behind AXA where he is MD of commercial lines in the UK general insurance business, and previously worked as corporate partnerships director.

When he takes up his new position he will be tasked with the strategic development of the commercial business, including underwriting, marketing and operations.

Aviva’s UK Commercial Director Cathryn Riley said that Middle would collaborate closely with the life and general insurance distribution directors.

Riley went on to say that Aviva was already a leading player in the market, and warmly welcomed Middle’s extensive experience and in-depth knowledge.
