Leisuredays launches new park home policy

Leisuredays has launched a new residential park home/lodge policy.

The firm, which specialises in the static caravan, holiday home, chalet and lodge insurance market, has developed the policy in conjunction with RSA.

Cover provides for replacement of a home damaged beyond repair regardless of age, subject to policy terms and conditions.

The cost of debris removal and the re-siting and reconnection of utilities for a new home are also included, as is cover for legal expenses, alternative accommodation, replacement locks and keys and up to £5 million public liability.

The service is backed by a 24 hour helpline that can assist policyholders in preventing further damage following an incident by arranging temporary repairs.

Leisuredays director, Chris Nettleton, comments: “We’re delighted to be using our extensive insurance expertise to bring a new option for owners looking to insure their park homes.”

Adding: “It gives owners many top quality inclusive benefits with generous cover limits at a very affordable price.”

The firm has also recently come up with some security tips for park home owners who plan to be absent for some time, including the suggestion of emptying cupboards and leaving their doors open, to show any would-be thieves that it is not worth breaking in.
