Independent insurance broker Giles Insurance Brokers Ltd has been ranked 13th in the Sunday Times Buyout Track 100.

The Buyout Track 100 rates companies backed by private equity with the fastest growing profits over the last two years.

Over the period Giles’ profits have skyrocketed by 90% per year from £6.3m in 2007 to £22.8m last year.

The surge in profits of the firm has been achieved by a combination of organic growth and acquisitions coupled with winning a number of major contracts.

Since Spring 2008 Giles has made over 20 acquisitions, allowing the firm to expand across the country.

Chief Executive Chris Giles has described 13th place in the Buyout Track 100 as a fantastic achievement for the firm and a sign of the commitment and dedication of its staff.

In April last year the firm was ranked 9th in The Sunday Times PricewaterhouseCoopers Profit Track 100, which rates businesses according to average profits over the last three years.
