Aviva launches Broker Independence Group

Aviva has set up a new broker initiative that it says can provide up to 3,000 local independent brokers with unique access to a range of specifically tailored packages and services.

Broker Independence Group is available to all local independent brokers with Norwich Union accounts of less than £800,000 premium.

It comprises a dedicated team of account managers and offers a new profit share reward scheme.

In addition, brokers can access an extended product range and specialist schemes.

Bespoke compliance and legal support is also available but charges may be levied in some areas.

The company’s director of business development, John Kennedy, sums up the new offering: “We have listened to broker feedback about the service and support they want and created a great new package, designed to give local independent brokers the kind of support they really need.”

The launch is accompanied by a new community website where brokers can access commercial E-trading and an extranet that provides industry news, marketing material and a free compliance email service.

Jo Thoy has been appointed head of sales at Broker Independence Group, having previously worked with Broker Network for a number of years.

Aviva also reminds its customers that in summer of 2009 Norwich Union will change its name to Aviva, adopting the group’s worldwide brand name.
