Global aviation claims management and consultancy firm Airclaims has announced two new appointments.

Tan Soon Keat joined the firm’s Singapore office two months ago, bringing with him almost two decades of aviation experience.

He left behind AAR Landing Gear Services where he worked as sales director to join Airclaims.

Earlier in his career Tan Soon Keat worked for Transmile Air, firstly as a planning engineer and more latterly as maintenance planning manager.

He was also a licensed aircraft engineer for Malaysia Airlines, and is fluent in both Malay and English.

Garrick Andrews is to join Airclaims New Zealand this month, and is a veteran of the industry, bringing with him 35 years of experience.

Andrews joins Airclaims from Vincent Aviation where he was responsible for fleet and maintenance management.

Mark Hunter, Airclaims’ group MD, has welcomed the two appointments, stating they would bolster the firm’s team in the Asia-Pacific region.

The two appointments follow on from Airclaims enhancing its Indian technical support with the appointment of Commander Ajit Kumar Kokkeri as an aviation surveyor.
