Marsh has announced the appointment of Greg Arms to the position of global leader of the Employee Benefits Practice.

He brings three decades of industry experience to the role, having occupied posts with UnitedHealth Group and American International Group.

He leaves behind Willis, where he served as chairman and chief executive officer of Willis Group Holdings’ Global Employee Benefits Practice.

Arms will be based in the firm’s worldwide headquarters in New York and is to report to both Joseph McSweeny and Alexander Moczarski, US/Canada president and International president respectively.

In his new role he will be tasked with leadership of Marsh’s employee benefits business across the globe.

His goal in America will be to broaden the collaboration between Marsh and Mercer, a firm which provides consulting, outsourcing and investment solutions in the fields of human resources and financial spheres.

Both firms are subsidiaries of MMC, (Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.)

Elsewhere in the world, Arms will work alongside regional and country leaders to bolster the Marsh-Mercer collaborative effort.
