Ageas UK and Groupama SA have announced that they are in exclusive discussions regarding the sale of Groupama’s UK non-life insurance business, in a transaction that would exclude Groupama’s UK broking operations.

Exclusivity has been agreed for a period of approximately four weeks and both parties will refrain from further comment until discussions have been concluded.

Groupama offers a range of car, motorcycle, home, travel, personal accident and commercial insurance in the UK, with gross written premium of £408 million as at 31.12.2011
