Arthur J. Gallagher International has acquired Blenheim Park Ltd, a retail insurance broker with offices in Croydon and Tunbridge Wells.

The firm, which also trades under the “Intasure” and “Quotedesk” brands, specialises in second and holiday home insurance in the UK and abroad, although Quotedesk focuses on SME commercial business.

With its 86 employees, Blenheim Park will join the Gallagher Heath Insurance Services (GHIS) unit, which is headed by managing director, Des O’Connor.

Mike Farley, who heads Blenheim Park, will be joining GHIS as managing director of the business and Blenheim’s Russell Wright will also be on board, as schemes and affinity operations director.

Nigel Palmer, who joined GHIS earlier this year from Towergate, will lead the Quotedesk team.

Commenting on the acquisition, Des O’Connor, says: “This deal greatly adds to the strength of our GHIS portfolio, whilst allowing for multiple cross-selling opportunities.”
