Zurich Insurance Group has announced the appointment of Thomas J. White (chief executive and representative officer of Zurich in Japan) to the position of group head of Human Resources.
White, whose appointment is effective from 1 September, succeeds Peter J. Wright, who left the firm in June.
White will assume responsibility for Zurich’s global HR function and is to be based in Zurich.
He will be directly responsible to Chief Executive Officer Martin Senn and Chief of Staff Ann Haugh.
He joined Zurich’s wholly owned subsidiary Farmers Group, Inc. three years ago as president and chief executive officer of Farmers New World Life.
