AXA UK has announced that it is bringing together its commercial and personal lines broker businesses under the leadership of Amanda Blanc.
The new combined business will focus on strengthening AXA’s capabilities and propositions in the intermediated market, while making the most of the synergies that exist across the channel.
Ms Blanc, who joined AXA in February 2011 as chief executive officer of commercial lines, has also been appointed to the group’s global P&C board, which is responsible for setting the overall general insurance strategy for the insurer.
Commenting on the changes, Paul Evans, group chief executive officer of AXA UK and Ireland, says: “Brokers are pivotal to the success of our business and bringing together the Commercial and Personal Lines businesses in this key channel will improve our broker proposition and support our ambitions for profitable growth.”
