Allianz has taken tenth place in the transparency ratings just published by Transparency International, an organisation dedicated to the fight against corruption in business and in government.
The group assessed the world’s 105 biggest companies, which together are worth more than $11 trillion, and awarded the German insurer a rating of 6.6 out of 10.
Allianz is the first insurer to appear in the list, baring the insurance activities of HSBC Holdings, in 6th place.
Transparency International made its assessment by analysing the transparency of corporate reporting on a range of anticorruption measures whilst also taking a look at corporate structures and where the biggest firms pay their taxes.
