International specialty property/casualty insurer and reinsurer Catlin Group Limited has announced the appointment of David Huebel as the new Catlin Canada chief executive officer.

Huebel, who assumes his new position with effect from 3 July, succeeds Mike Hansen, who will continue as the firm’s Aerospace Product Group global leader.

July will also see Greg Joyce succeed Huebel as Catlin Canada’s chief underwriting officer, having previously worked as deputy chief underwriting officer.

Catlin Canada will also receive a new chief operating officer when Deborah Moor takes on the role in September.

Catlin Group Limited Chief Executive Stephen Catlin expressed his delight at Huebel’s appointment, and that of Joyce.

The chief executive also welcomed to the firm Moor and said that Catlin had put together a strong management team to lead its Canadian operations.
