The ACE Group has announced that it has appointed Andrew McBride executive vice president (Claims) of its international business.
McBride will assume responsibility for the firm’s claims operations supporting its property and casualty and accident and health insurance businesses in 50 countries in the Asia Pacific and Japan; Latin America; and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions.
He succeeds Roger Day, who is to retire from the firm at the year’s end.
He is to be based in New York and will be directly responsible to Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, ACE Limited, John Keogh and Chief Claims Officer, ACE Group, Frank Lattal.
Peter Murray, claims organisation leader in the EMEA region, will take on the extra role of Casualty Claims executive for the firm’s international operations.
Keogh welcomed the appointment of McBride, stating that his leadership experience and technical expertise made him well-suited to his new role.
