Bupa has announced the appointment of Evelyn Bourke as the firm’s new chief financial officer.

Bourke brings a broad range of experience to her new post, including experience in financial services, risk and capital management, operations and mergers and acquisition.

She previously worked as chief commercial officer and Heritage division CEO at Friends Life before joining Bupa.

Earlier in her career she worked for Friends Provident as chief financial officer and executive director with responsibility for Strategy, Capital and Risk.

Bupa Chief Executive Stuart Fletcher expressed his delight at Bourke’s appointment to the firm, adding that her know-how would prove invaluable to Bupa and stating his confidence that she would fit in well with the firm’s culture.
