Privately-owned brokerage, R K Harrison, has completed the purchase of four businesses within Gibbs Hartley Cooper (GHC), part of Marsh UK.

The units comprise all of GHC’s specie and cargo practices and most of its North America property & casualty and accident, health & contingency practices.

All will be integrated into existing R K Harrison specialty lines operations over time.

Commenting on the acquisition, R K Harrison chief executive officer, Paul Bridgwater, says: “We welcome four teams with outstanding expertise, solid client bases and great growth potential.”

He adds: “The teams are accretive to existing R K Harrison specialty lines businesses and expand the scale and scope of our core offering to clients.”
