Willis Group Holdings has announced the appointment of Yoshihide Enomoto to the position of president and chief executive officer of its retail brokerage business in Japan.

The announcement comes as the firm opens a second office in Osaka to service the electronics sector, amongst others, in the west of Japan.

Enomoto is based in the firm’s Tokyo office and leaves behind Aon where he worked for 14 years, holding roles including chairman of Aon Japan and managing director of Aon Global Japan.

Earlier in his career he worked in Chicago and Los Angeles for Alexander & Alexander USA.

Willis Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa Chairman and CEO Roger Wilkinson praised Enomoto’s extensive international experience and knowledge of the local marketplace, adding that this would enable him to lead the firm’s push for growth in Japan.
