Zurich has appointed Tim Bailey to the position of chief risk officer, global life, with immediate effect.
The 38-year-old British citizen, who previously held the position of head of strategy, global life, succeeds Nick Burnet who has been appointed to the position of chief financial officer, global life, as previously announced.
In his new position, Mr Bailey will be responsible for the early identification and mitigation of risk issues and will lead global life’s network of local risk officers.
Zurich has also announced that Christian Orator, chief administrative officer, has decided to pursue new opportunities and will be leaving the group by the end of the year.
He will continue to serve in his role until the announcement of a successor.
The senior management changes precede the arrival of Joseph Ackermann as chairman of Zurich Financial Services, in June.
