Specialist insurer Hiscox has announced that it is bolstering its UK Art and Private Client division (APC) with a number of appointments.

Steve Morse has been promoted to head of Motor, and Matthew Webb becomes head of UK Motor Underwriting.

The team is completed with the appointment of Clare Limond to the role of motor underwriter, joining Tom Wilcox who also serves as a motor underwriter.

Morse is now responsible for the firm’s high value motor line and will collaborate closely with brokers to find and exploit opportunities for growth via schemes and MGA channels.

He brings more than two decades of experience to his new role, and previously worked for the firm as senior development underwriter in APC in Birmingham and London.

Head of Art and Private Client, Hiscox UK and Ireland, Justin Gott said that the new appointments strengthened the firm’s high net worth motor capability, and praised Morse’s proven leadership as well as the underwriting expertise of the other team members.
