Families whose relatives have died as a result of asbestos-related cancers will win a landmark case in the Supreme Court on Wednesday, The Independent on Sunday has reported.
According to the newspaper, insurance companies face an initial collective bill of over £600 million relating to employees who have died as a result of negligently being exposed to asbestos dust.
However, up to 25,000 families could be affected by the ruling, taking the potential bill to £5 billion.
