Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has announced that it is beginning a search for a new chief financial officer to replace Richard Houghton, who is to leave the firm on 29 February.

Chief Risk Officer Julian Cusack will assume the position of acting chief financial officer until a permanent successor is appointed.

Cusack formerly held the post of chief financial officer with the firm, and Head of Risk Stephen Postlewhite will become acting chief risk officer.

Chief Executive Officer Chris O’Kane said that Houghton had been an invaluable member of Aspen’s Executive Management team for the last five years, and wished him well in his future endeavours.

O’Kane praised Cusack’s in-depth financial knowledge, adding that the firm was fortunate to have him as an interim CFO.
