AXA Personal Lines has appointed Nick Turner as managing director intermediary & partnerships sales, with immediate effect.

Mr Turner, who succeeds Mike Keating, has held a number of distribution roles within AXA over the past 26 years and developed business partnerships across a range of the insurer’s propositions, both in the UK and globally.

Most recently he held the role of director of UK partnerships, reporting to the group chief executive, AXA UK.

AXA Personal Lines has also reported that it has secured a new five-year contract to underwrite non-standard household insurance for avantia.

The intermediary specialises in areas of business including properties with a history of subsidence or flood damage and clients with circumstances would exclude them from insurers’ standard offerings.
