Towergate Insurance has appointed Lucinda Charles-Jones as group human resources director, with effect from 24th October.

Moving from AXA UK and Ireland where she served as interim group HR director, Ms Charles-Jones previously held HR directorships at Barclays, RAC and Lex Vehicle Leasing.

More recently she spent three years as group HR director at recruitment specialist, Hays.

Commenting on the appointment, Towergate chief executive officer, Mark Hodges, says: “Lucinda has a track record of delivering leading HR practice with an emphasis on practical application and supporting businesses’ needs.”

He adds: “This will complement our style, and help enhance our position as an attractive employer in the industry.”

For her part, Ms Charles-Jones says she finds the new role “very appealing” on account of Towergate’s commitment in professional, high quality leadership.
