| September 30, 2011 | 0 Comments

Helphire Group plc has announced that, in light of its significantly smaller (and less indebted) scale since the Board was appointed in 2009, it is altering the size, composition and cost of the Board to make it better fit for purpose given Helphire’s size and needs.

Richard Rose has announced that he is to step down as executive chairman and two non-executive directors (Lord Howard of Lympne CH QC PC (Michael Howard) and Andrew Cripps) have also stood down.

Helphire thanked all outgoing Board members for their contribution to the firm during recent years.

Avril Palmer-Baunack has been named as the firm’s new non-executive chairman.

She present serves as the chief executive officer of Autologic Holdings plc, which she joined four years ago, and earlier in her career Palmer-Baunack was CEO of Universal Salvage plc.

She has experience at Helphire, having served on the Board as a non-executive director between April 2009 and December 2010, and expressed her pleasure to be returning to the firm as chairman.
