Marsh has announced the appointment of Richard Waterer as the firm’s new head of Marsh Risk Consulting (MRC) in the UK and Ireland.

Waterer is to be based in London, and will report directly to both Rob DeJonge and George Davies, head of MRC for Europe, Middle East and Africa and head of Marsh’s UK Strategic Client Group respectively.

He joined the firm over a decade ago, and most recently served as the head of Marsh’s UK Operational Risk Practice.

During his extensive time with the firm Waterer has occupied a number of senior leadership positions within Marsh’s risk consulting business.

Martin South, chief executive officer of Marsh UK and Ireland, welcomed Waterer’s appointment and praised his successful endeavours whilst working for Marsh.
