Aviva launches online motor brand

Aviva has launched “Quote me happy” a new motor insurance brand for those who prefer to deal with their car insurance online.

With research showing that 75% of people now shop for car insurance on price comparison sites, the insurer says it is responding to changing customer buying habits in a move that should also help grow its UK motor insurance business beyond its current two million customers.

However, the new service offers fully comprehensive insurance only and is aimed at lower risk motorists who:

Are aged between 21 and 75.

Have had no more than one at-fault claim in the past four years.

Own a car that is no more than 13 years old and is worth less than £40,000.

The brand will be available on gocompare.com shortly, with further price comparison sites planned for later this year.

Commenting on the launch, Aviva’s retail director, Steve Treloar, says: “Quote me happy is designed for people who want a good quality product, but are happy to serve themselves.”
