ACE has appointed Marie Biggas to the position of terrorism & political violence underwriter for ACE Overseas General (AOG).

Ms Biggas, who joins from Chaucer Syndicate, will be based in London and report to Piers Gregory, terrorism underwriting manager for AOG.

Commenting on the expansion, Mr Gregory says: “Terrorism and political related risk is an international challenge and ACE is one of the few insurers to have a dedicated team networked throughout the world able to advise clients on the potential risks and the best ways to manage them.”

Also this week, ACE has appointed two environmental risk underwriters to its London-based environmental liability team.

Robert Wade joins from Chartis and Hayley Dixon from Conestoga-Rovers & Associates.

The expanded team will focus on working with brokers to develop new environmental liability programmes.
