Ageas has announced that it is participating in exclusive talks with Chevrolet pertaining to the exclusive provision (to UK customers) of motor insurance products.

The five year deal has been agreed in principle and will see the insurer handling all of Chevrolet’s customer sales, service administration and claims service.

The deal will enhance growth at Ageas’ Stoke-on-Trent office and is intended to enhance competitiveness and customer retention for Chevrolet.

Ageas UK Chief Executive Officer Barry Smith said that the deal would increase the firm’s strength in the private car insurance market, adding that the firm looked forward to collaborating with Chevrolet.

Ageas UK has also announced that it is engaged in exclusive negotiations with Vauxhall to provide UK customers of the car firm with fully branded motor insurance products.

As with the Chevrolet negotiations, a five year deal has, in principle, been agreed.
