Brit appoints Property Treaty head
International general insurance and reinsurance group Brit Insurance has announced the appointment of Jon Sullivan as the firm’s new head of Property Treaty.
He will leave behind Torus, where he served as senior vice president, International Reinsurance, to join Brit.
It is anticipated that Sullivan will occupy his new position in the Autumn, at which time he will become directly responsible to Jonathan Turner, Brit Reinsurance’s chief executive.
The appointment sees the combination of Brit’s North American and International Property treaty reinsurance teams into a single global specialist Property operation.
Turner expressed his delight at Sullivan’s appointment, welcoming the decades of experience and skills he brings to Brit.
Turner went on to predict that Sullivan would play an instrumental role in the continuing development of the firm’s property treaty portfolio.
