LV= launches new ad campaign

LV= has launched a new £4m TV advertising campaign, the largest the firm has ever undertaken.

The campaign includes a new TV advert and is the fourth of a series designed to re-launch the brand with its distinctive green heart icon.

Four years ago the firm planned to become the United Kingdom’s fifth largest car insurer by 2012, a goal they achieved two years ahead of schedule.

Over the last four years the firm’s insurance business has increased by more than 500% and created 1,000 new jobs.

Guy Hedger, Marketing Director at LV=, described the key to advertising success as the combination of competitive pricing and high production values.

The campaign began this week and will continue running until the middle of September.

Earlier this year the firm reported its 2010 financial results, which included underlying net profits rising by 118% from £44.2m to £96.2m.
