Businesses suffering a data breach will now be able to take advantage of a new offering from the the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

Should a data breach occur, the service would refer business managers to a specialist law firm who would then carry out a free 30 minute assessment and suggest steps to help reduce the ensuing liabilities.

Businesses adopting the service would also benefit from an Incident Roadmap and having further cyber security risk management and breach recovery services made available.

Tracey Vispoli, senior vice president and Chubb’s worldwide cyber security liability manager, explained that the frequency of data breaches and the costs (within the United States) of dealing with them were continually rising.

Vispoli went on to say that the firm’s new service offered CyberSecurity and other customers and producers the opportunity to mitigate the impact of data breaches and respond rapidly should they occur.

On the other side of the Atlantic XL Insurance recently launched XL Eclipse, a cyber-risks solution aimed at helping businesses in Europe cope with cyber liabilities.
