Lockton has launched a new unit in Memphis, US, that aims to provide commercial insurance, risk management and employee benefits services for clients regionally, nationally, and internationally.

The business is headed by Joe Lammel, a Memphis community leader and long-time insurance brokerage executive who has spent more than 30 years with Marsh, most recently as leader of its Memphis brokerage operations.

Commenting on developments, Lockton’s St Louis president, Kevin McDaniel, says he sees a rare opportunity in Memphis to assemble a high-calibre group of professionals.

Recruitment is underway, and the firm will shortly be relocating from its current temporary accommodation to permanent offices.
