Towergate appoints CEO
Towergate has announced that, subject to regulatory approval, Mark Hodges, currently executive director and UK chief executive officer of Aviva plc, will succeed the group’s retiring group chief executive officer, Andy Homer, on 1st October 2011.
Mr Homer will remain on the Towergate board as a non-executive director.
Commenting on the appointment, Towergate chairman, Alastair Lyons, says: “We look forward with great anticipation to Mark leading Towergate through the next stage in its development.”
Mr Hodges adds: “The opportunity to take the lead at Towergate, Europe’s largest independent insurance intermediary, backed by Advent International, one of the premier private equity companies in the world, was irresistible.”
