The Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) has announced that the examinations for its new entry level qualification (Cert CILA) have now gone live. Students can now register online to take their examination on demand at a range of online test centres around the country.

The course, launched in March this year, lead to a Certificate (Cert CILA) providing a broad introduction to insurance and claims at BTECH Level 3. The qualification provides a stepping stone to the gold standard ACILA Associate qualification and successful candidates are permitted to use the designatory letters Cert CILA after their name.

Andrew Homewood, President of the CILA comments: “We’ve been delighted by take up of the new courses so far. We have had fantastic support from members and the major firms, with a number of students already registering for the examinations next month.”

“Both loss adjusting firms and those employing claims handlers are increasingly realising the benefits and the importance of professional development. The Cert CILA qualification offers all claims handlers a means of evidencing their achievement at all levels which we hope will continue to attract new blood to the profession and support employers’ own professional development programmes.”

Candidates can register for the exams and sign up to the new courses by visiting www.cila.co.uk/certificate
