Croftons launches Accident app
Manchester law firm, Croftons, has launched an Accident app intended to help people accurately record traumatic events.
Having worked with members of Edinburgh University’s Department of Psychology, the firm is responding to research that shows how people can lose all details of a serious incident permanently, within a few seconds.
Furthermore, in any accident, whether on the road or at work, emotions take over and small details can be lost after an hour or two.
Croftons’ managing partner, Simon Leighton, comments: “We know, having dealt with many people in the immediate aftermath of an accident, they are not thinking straight.”
He adds: “Smart phone technology provides a route map … you can write things down in an orderly way, photograph the place of the accident and record eye-witness statements – all of which is admissible in court.”
The iphone app can be downloaded for free from Croftons’ website.
