Bridle acquires Harrington Adams
Bridle Insurance has announced its first acquisition of the year, as it takes over city of London Insurance broker Harrington Adams.
Bridle beat off stiff competition to secure the acquisition, which is a specialist at providing city of London City employees with insurance for their cars and homes.
Darren Nangle, Bridle’s head of personal lines, described Harrington Adams as a perfect fit for the firm and said it was a type of business the firm had been seeking for some time.
Nangle praised the hard work and enthusiasm of Harrington Adams’ original owners and the shared ethics and passion the acquisition has with Bridle.
He went on to state that the acquisition was likely to be only the first of many during 2011, but did not venture to disclose any details of potential future acquisitions.
Last year Bridle made a number of acquisitions, including Southampton Insurance Services and Leicestershire-based Abbot Insurance.
