Arc Legal Assistance is claiming a UK first with the launch of its iPhone claims app for legal expenses policies.

The app is available across the firm’s portfolio, including its large-scale contracts and key niche business sectors, such as landlord cover.

The company also has plans to develop its existing online claims offering to give customers access to online legal documents, legal guidance notes and a “frequently asked claims questions” section.

Commenting on developments, Arc Legal Director, Richard Finan, says: “Providing customers with the ability to submit claims via mobile media ensures we are delivering more choice and control over how they make a claim.”

He adds: “The Arc Legal iPhone App is further evidence of our commitment to taking a lead in the innovation and delivery of products and services in the market.”

Arc Legal currently provides household and travel legal expenses cover to many of Aviva’s personal lines customers, having secured one of the largest contracts of its kind in the UK market in September of last year.
