Specialist (re)insurance broking and risk management group THB Group plc has announced that it is expanding its London Market division, part of THB’s Lloyd’s broking operation Thompson Heath & Bond Limited.

THB is adding three new appointments to its 35-strong Motor Fleet and Commercial teams, and makes the announcement shortly after it revealed a 47% rise in underlying pre-tax profits.

THB Motor Fleet is joined by new broker Kevin Kidby, who formerly worked for Willis and with Lloyd’s broker AFL, developing a fleet account with the latter.

Mike Fountain is appointed to the post of regional development manager, and is well-known at THB due to his previous positions with Holman’s Marketing and Tradex.

The London Market Commercial team is to be led by Owen Davies, who formerly worked for R K Harrison and R L Davison.

Managing director of THB London Market, Darren Nightingale, welcomed the three new hires and praised their collective expertise and specialist knowledge.
