ABI seeks new director of investment affairs
The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has informed its members that Jonathan Davis has decided not to take up the role of director of investment affairs, as announced in November.
Mr Davis explains: “A number of my other commitments are unfortunately taking up more time than expected, making it difficult to fulfill this full-time role on the basis we originally discussed.”
Mr Davis writes regularly for national media, including The Financial Times and The Spectator, and while agreeing to provide some independent consultancy work for the ABI, he will be focusing on the completion of a book on the investment methods of John Templeton, and on the launch of a new investment newsletter.
At the ABI, Hugh Savill will continue as acting director of investment affairs and a new recruitment process has already begun.
