Friends Provident has appointed Colin Williams as director of corporate, following the departure of Paul McMahon.
Reporting directly to chief executive Trevor Matthews, Mr Williams will be responsible for the development and implementation of a workplace savings strategy in the corporate benefits market, and will manage the ongoing integration of the Friends Provident and AXA corporate propositions.
Previously distribution and marketing director at Friends, he has over 15 years of experience in the corporate benefits industry.
Commenting on the appointment, Trevor Matthews, says: “Colin is a strong, senior player within our corporate business and I am sure he will drive forward our strategy in this market with energy and enthusiasm.”
The life and pensions provider has also announced that following the recent acquisition of Bupa Health Assurance, its group risk team, led by Stephanie Baillie, will report to Steve Payne, chief executive Bupa Health Assurance.
Last month, Friends unveiled plans to relocate its head office to the One New Change development in the City of London, moving from nearby Wood Street.
The move, which comes ahead of the planned launch of Friends Life (created out of the merger Friends Provident and AXA’s UK life business) is expected to take place in April.
