Allianz opens Newcastle office
Allianz Commercial has declared that its new office in Newcastle has opened its doors and commenced operations.
The new branch is located at Hadrian House in the City centre and led by Les Archibald, who joined the firm from Primary General & Rural Insurance, where he had previously worked as underwriting director.
A quartet of new appointments have been made to help exploit the opportunities the new branch affords.
Bill Redhead, Mike Kenny and Chris McAloon comprise the property, casualty and motor trade underwriting team, and Lee Makin has been named as the branch’s motor fleet underwriter.
Simon McGinn, Allianz’s commercial broker markets director, explained that the firm believed in a strong regional network that placed underwriters and decision-makers in the local area, close to those with whom they do business.
The branch was first announced in November last year, at which time Archibald joined Allianz and was tasked with supervision of broker development in the North East.
