Fortis Life has changed its name to Ageas Protect in the UK, from today.

The move follows the adoption of the Ageas name by Fortis’ general insurance business, following the disposal of the group’s banking assets, in 2009.

The new name and Ageas logo will now be used to promote the company’s protection proposition, with research across different international markets already suggesting that the logo has been particularly well received by target groups.

Ageas Protect’s managing director, Martin Werth, comments: “We are delighted to be introducing the new Ageas Protect brand into the UK protection market.”

He adds: “It is important to stress that whilst our name has changed our strategy and ethos of total protection focus and working hand in hand with our distribution partners to deliver great outcomes for customers remains the same.”
