Towergate’s Cullum awarded CBE
The New Year’s Honours List has seen Towergate’s Peter Cullum awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire).
The honour was granted to Cullum in recognition of the dedication and contribution he has made towards business, entrepreneurship and charitable causes.
Since 2006 Towergate has raised more than £4m for various charities, including a number of partner charities including military charities as well as Help the Hospices, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Cancer Research and ChildLine.
The Peter Cullum School of Entrepreneurship was launched two years ago with Cass Business School Dean, Richard Gillingwater, and through it £10m has been made available for alumni to use as start-up funding.
Group Chief Executive Andy Homer expressed delight on behalf of all of Cullum’s colleagues at the recognition he has received for his charitable work.
Cullum himself has stated he is honoured to be given the CBE, adding that it was flattering but that it was truly a testimony to the hard work of the Towergate staff.
