ABI launches Consumer Forum

| December 27, 2010 | 0 Comments

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) is establishing a new Consumer Forum to help drive its work to improve outcomes for customers.

The Forum will replace the ABI’s Customer Impact Panel and will reflect a new approach to consumer work by focusing on regaining trust in financial services, enhancing consumer understanding of financial products and improving access to both advice and products.

Key industry and consumer representatives are being invited to join the Forum, which will report directly to the ABI.

The Association’s director general, Maggie Craig, comments: “It is very important that the ABI and its members play a key role in helping consumers regain trust in financial services.”

She adds: “This will only be achieved by increasing understanding of our products and improving outcomes for our customers.”
