Lloyd’s of London has issued a warning over a recruitment scam which offers “fictitious” employment opportunities with Lloyd’s and asks victims to send their personal details and / or monies.

A statement from Lloyd’s makes clear that:

Lloyd’s will never ask for a fee to process any recruitment applications.

Presently, Lloyd’s offers no relocation package.

At this moment, all candidates need to have a full work permit before applying to Lloyd’s. Presently Lloyd’s does not sponsor visas.

All Lloyd’s email correspondence will be sent from an email address with the suffix “@lloyds.com”.

Lloyd’s does not use “yahoo.com”, “live.com”, “googlemail.com”, “msn.com” or any other email provider.

Fraudsters are misusing the name “LLOYD’S INSURANCE PLC” or derivates thereof and Lloyd’s is asking potential victims / victims of recruitment fraud to report their suspicions at http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud
