Validus announces new president
Validus Holdings, Ltd. has announced the appointment of Joseph Consolino as the firm’s new president, with effect from 15 November.
The announcement follows the recent news that incumbent president George P. Reeth intends to step down from the firm.
When assuming the reins of Validus, Consolino will also retain his present post as chief financial officer, a role he has fulfilled for the firm since 2006.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ed Noonan praised Consolino as an outstanding leader and valued partner, supporting Validus as it grew and developed.
In particular, Noonan singled out Consolino’s contributions to the firm’s formation and its acquisition of Talbot Holdings three years ago which afforded Validus access to the Lloyd’s insurance market.
Noonan paid tribute to the dedication and leadership Reeth had provided since the firm’s founding five years ago and wished him all the best for the future.
